In a heartwarming milestone, Inuka Child Care Center has proudly launched a newly constructed computer center. On the 11th of October 2025, children from the orphanage alongside friends and supporters of our mission came together to celebrate this milestone in a small ceremony. This transformative project had been a dream of ours for a long time because we knew it was crucial for children under our care to be familiar with a world that is increasingly going digital around them. We are happy to see this dream finally come to light, the children are excited at the prospect of exploring and learning things that seemed beyond their reach and our friends and donors are exceedingly proud of being part of this journey of creating a positive impact with us.
The new computer center, The EonRush digital hub, is equipped with 8 desktop workstations and internet connection in a spacious, well-lit and well-ventilated room specially constructed to make learning conducive. The digital hub will serve children at the orphanage and children within the community for whom such a facility has been out of reach. In an era where digital literacy is key to academic success, career opportunities, and social engagement, this center stands as a beacon of hope for bridging the digital learning gap that many vulnerable children face. Our vision is to equip children with basic to advanced computer skills, introduce them to self-learning educational resources like Khan academy, OpenLearn and other free online learning resources including those offered by renowned colleges and universities around to complement and diversify their school curriculum. The computer hub will serve as a gateway to an endless world of learning opportunities. The EonRush digital hub offers more than just learning; it offers a fun space where children can interact and socialize with their peers from the the community. We have spaces for different interactive games that stimulates learning and curiosity. This includes indoor games like chess and video games that sparks excitement in children and teach them problem-solving skills. This integration nurtures friendships and healthy curiosity. The once abstract notion of computer lessons now transforms into practical, hands-on learning experiences, seamlessly complementing their regular academic pursuits.
This project is possible only because of the generosity of Mr. Adrian Fenix who provided donations for the construction of the building, its furnishing, equipping it with 8 desktop workstations and internet connections. Mr. Adrian Fenix support for our orphanage has been transformative, enabling us nurture and create opportunities for more vulnerable children who see our orphanage as a lifeline. This milestone is only the beginning. We intend to add 12 more workstations to the existing 8 in order to accommodate more children and expand our reach and impact. We are leaving no child behind for whom such a facility can be a difference-maker. We have been able to get this far because of your support.
