About Us

Partnering to build a world where all children are cared for and have a chance to live with dignity.

Who we are

Founded in 2013 by Gladys Kache, Inuka Childcare Center is a community-based non-profit organization in Kenya dedicated to providing a loving and stable home for vulnerable children, including orphans and children from disadvantaged backgrounds. More than just shelter, we offer care, education, mentorship, and emotional support, ensuring every child has the opportunity to grow and thrive.

What began as a humble home for a few children has grown into a thriving center of care. Our mission is to create a nurturing environment where every child can grow into a healthy, educated, and empowered adult. We are rooted in compassion, and we strive to restore hope, dignity, and opportunity where it’s been lost. Together, we’re creating brighter futures—one child at a time.

Our Mission

To provide vulnerable children with a safe, nurturing environment where they can thrive, learn, and grow into empowered individuals. We are dedicated to breaking cycles of poverty through love, education, and holistic care.

Our Vision

A future where every child, regardless of background, has the opportunity to live with dignity, reach their full potential, and contribute positively to society.

Our Story

Inuka Childcare was born out of a desire to give forgotten children a voice and a future. What started as a small outreach has grown into a home of hope, transforming lives one child at a time.

How we support children

At Inuka Childcare Center, we believe in nurturing the whole child—physically, emotionally, spiritually, and mentally. Here’s how we do it:

We provide access to quality education, from early childhood to high school, and partner with schools to support our older children.

Our newly launched EonRush Digital hub helps children learn digital skills and access education resources from platforms like Khan Academy to supplement their learning.

We teach practical life skills such as gardening, basic cooking, and growing their own food, helping them become more self-reliant.

We encourage participation in sports, arts & crafts, and cultural activities to develop confidence and creativity.

Older children are introduced to vocational skills that prepare them for life after school.

Our children participate in Boys’ Scouts and Girls’ Guide programs, learning teamwork, discipline, and leadership.

We organize educational trips and excursions to give children exposure beyond their immediate environment.

We Facilitate Safe Learning Spaces

At Inuka Childcare, our approach is rooted in compassion, community, and commitment. We focus on long-term impact by addressing the emotional, physical, and educational needs of every child in our care. Through strategic partnerships and sustainable programs, we aim to empower children and restore dignity in their lives.

Our programs are designed to meet the full spectrum of a child’s needs: from shelter and nutrition to education, emotional well-being, and mentorship. We work hand-in-hand with local communities, families, donors, and volunteers to create sustainable support systems around each child. Through intentional care and long-term engagement, we aim not only to change individual lives but also to uplift entire communities—building a future where no child is left behind.
